I Am Out Here.....

 For my Daughter Alyssa Rose

I am out here, out here once again,
Yet so much has changed
And it's all from within.

I have been there, where the light has no home
Where I felt swallowed up, lost and alone.

I am out here and you're so far away
My colors are gray and I fall and I pray.

You are out there and your spirit is strong.
Out there, where it seems
You're there all alone.

The angels are where
You need them to be,
To catch all your tears and bring them to me.

DESPAIR

This life hasn't been
all that it seems,
feeling so lost,
I only escape in my dreams.

Holding onto faith
because that is all that's left.
Knowing what I have to face,
only because they said it was best.

Now I'm grasping onto you,
hoping you wont watch me fall.
You're all that I knew,
can you hear my call?

I'm so far away,
left in despair.
All i can do is pray,
When living in my own skin becomes to much to bare.

So tell me you can hear,
tell me you feel..
it is my worst fear-
to know now..that you were never real.

LOST LOVE

You are like the feeling of a cool summer breeze, 

spontaneous as laughter,

but now I realize that you’re just a chase never to be captured.

You’re an illusion…but the mask begins to fade away.

Filled with so much confusion,

I’m left so afraid...

Without a care in the world, you continue to go on.

Having no shame while you tare me apart.

Broken beyond repair, you have ripped out my heart.

I hold out my hand as I reach out for you..

I am never able to grasp,  because you’re something so untrue.

My heart beats faster,  my stomach turns, and the tears continuously fall…....

I’ll hold onto the memory of us forever, as if we had never lost it all.
